What length do I need to make my strings when I'm making a alpha bracelet?

It depends really how you start it and end it. Typically, you would make the base strings about 2-3inches longer than your wrist size, plus the amount of string you feel you would need to make ties (if the pattern has a lot of rows I would leave more than that). If you're making key-chains, or brooches you can cut them even shorter than that, depending on the pattern. The leading/background string (depending on the pattern) can use as much as 2 whole skeins; maybe more, or maybe less. As for the pattern string(s) it again depends on the pattern, but you may not need that much. 🙂 |

I usually make the base strings around the length of my wrist to my elbow. it might seem a bit long depending on how you like it, but I prefer working with longer threads when possible.
