I'm some what new to this bracelet making scene, like I used to do it as a kid lost touch with it and have recently gotten into paracord braiding/weaving things like dog leashes or key fob type of things. Anywho I was just wondering if anybody uses polyester micro utility chord its 1.18mm diameter and comes on spools of 125ft. And if there is somebody that does use it, what is the end result compared the normal string you would use. And thank you in advance. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

I haven't used cord for bracelets, but I think I know the kind you're talking about. I think you could technically make a bracelet out of it, but the result will be very different from using embroidery thread. Since the cord is woven, it has a lot more structure to it, and thus retains its thickness more than embroidery thread. It's also significantly less flexible. It will probably be more difficult to get tight knots because of that.
If cord is all you have right now, I say give it a shot with a small project, and see how you feel about it. The result will be different, but maybe not bad. Worst case scenario, you don't like how it came out. You won't have to finish it, and you can get some embroidery thread for the future.
I hope this helps. Good luck on your endeavors.
