How to start uneven patterns

How do I start a pattern where you add more string along the way? An example being the first row includes 3 background strings but the second row includes 5 and so on? There’s a pattern I want to make but I’m not sure how to start it

I'm not very sure what you mean? Could you please mention the pattern number? And it is an alpha or a normal pattern? Sincerely I don't think it could be a normal pattern, so if it's an alpha I recommend to watch this video on YouTube so you can learn how to make them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YVFAX9sacw As a start, you can just tape your strings down and start knotting, but if you want to look more fancier, here is a link to a video that show you how to start them with a triangle end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhU6IWcnt6I |

Ok, I understand now. The first few rows form the triangle end (video tutorial linked above). Not every alpha patterns have this form, but some have. Is this your first alpha pattern?

If you still are confused, just watch at first the tutorial I linked in the first post for the triangle end. What you need to do is just make the triangle, but you also make some color switches in it. If your looking for some more simple alpha patterns, here are some I think are cute: #30204, #40357, #4847, #25493, #36730 and #15234. You just make color switches. I recommend the flat alpha technique and the tutorial by Masha Knots (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YVFAX9sacw). In that video it shows you very in depth how to do it. And if you want the user you are talking to to see the message by receiving a notification, just tag them with an @ symbol. For example @AlmaLlama. I'm not tagging you because is your forum topic and you receive a notification any way.
