I can’t find where you make the patterns, if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great!

You can only create patterns on the website.
For the site, you click on your profile up top, and click, "create patterns" and you should get it from there. For making normals you click "interactive normal", and to make Alphas, you click "draw alpha" or "alpha from image" to make a more detailed pattern (but you'll still need to tweak it in draw alpha so it'll get accepted)

how do I make a pattern?
