How do I know how long I do base strings for my alphas?😅

If you dont use the base strings in the pattern itself, like knotting with them, make them a couple inches longer than you want the bracelet/keychain/etc.If you ARE knotting them into the pattern, make them about twice the length of your project, adding a couple inches to be safe |

You can also look at the amount of rows in a pattern. If you have made an alpha before, you can measure how long a certain amount of rows is and use that to calculate. At a bit extra to that.

Yeah I just estimate because I make keychains/wallhangings but if you do bracelets you can just measure your wrist and add a little bit extra for ties and stuff. Also if you want someone to get a notification when you respond from the you put @ in front of the user. Ex. @emilyyy307

I’d say for me about 70 rows with ties on both ends (loop and twisted ties) is about 12” total.
