You can rank up by rating patterns, creating forum topics, replying to forum topics, creating patterns and/or pattern variations, adding patterns to your to-dos/loves, commenting on patterns, posting pictures of your patterns, uploading tutorials and videos to the site; basically just being an active user on this site. The benefits you get are being able to give patterns lower ratings (although I don't see why you'd do that), being able to create more variations per day and then I'm not really sure what else. I kind of see being a higher rank just as a bragging right, and not really anything special lol I'm still a new-ish user to the site so maybe a moderator could chime in and fill in on what I've missed.. From the official FAQ section on the site: "Our ranking system is automatic, and it takes a lot of parameters into account. You can rank up even by just using the website, but if you'd like to make it quicker, definitely try adding some valuable content to the site, and helping out the community. Those are definitely things that will help you rank up a lot faster." |

No problem! Also, here's a tip: when replying to someone on a forum post or in a comment first put their user in the message, like @mowgli_ so then they get a notification and are aware that you responded to them๐ |

@mowgli_Quoted from our FAQs: "How do I become a moderator? We have a pretty extensive set of rules when it comes to choosing a new moderator to the website. The first step in the right direction is you getting noticed by one of the members of our team for being helpful to the community for an extensive period of time, or having a great profile with a lot of great patterns, photos, etc. It also helps a lot if you're a long-time user, or a well known member of the community and are tying bracelets for a longer period of time. If you'll get noticed, you'll be added to the list of potential moderators, which we always use when looking for a new addition. All our admins and moderators then get a chance to vote for one or more users from that list, and the winner then has the opportunity to join our team." Basically you have to contribute to the braceletbook community and when new moderators are needed, you might get selected, if that is the case ๐ |
