I have been wanting to try something like 20 or 30 strings wide, but i can't figure out how to get started. It's a lot easier with something only 6 or 10 strings wide because obviously you can just tie them in a knot at the top, but you can't do that with too many strings.

I recommend learning how to make shaped starts (triangle ends, teardrop loop, etc). There are lots of tutorials on YouTube, let me know if you need any specifics. It will really be helpful in the long run and make your bracelets look a lot neater!

If you do a shaped start or a starting loop or even 2 if it’s necessary. There are a lot of tutorials on the tutorials section so I would check that out. Otherwise you could just do a knot. Hope this helps!

When I started my first 20 string bracelet I just left the strings loose and taped them down to my clipboard (tables work too) I only ended up doing one repition of the pattern but if you leave enough length in the beginning, you can do a couple braids on both ends when you're done. (I have a photo in my bio if you're curious. I left both ends loose since it's just an embellishment for later use)
