I would start with an alpha from image (so when you go intp create patterns choose "alpha" than click on "alpha from image" pick the dimensions-which are by knots so the default is a 50 x 50 knot square- pick how many colors you want and choose the file) it's honestly way easier than a normal and props to everybody who makes amazing normal patterns because they take copious amounts of time. And after some tweaking you get a nice pattern. I would make an alpha pattern to start even if you cant actually knot it.Although if you have like a whole idea in mind for a normal pattern, I would ask one of the mods to help you or go into the requests forum and ask somebody else to make it.
