For a keychain with approximately 21 rows, how many inches/cm should I cut my base strings?

How long a certain amount of rows is, depends on the materials used and how tight you knot. Since you've made alphas before, you can just measure how long a certain amount of rows is for you and then calculate how long 21 rows would be for you.The length of the base strings needs to be the length of whatever you are making plus some extras for loops, tassels, ties etc Since you fold the base strings for a keychain in half, they need to be double the length. |

Alright thank you so much. Another question: how would I attach an odd number of strings to a keychain? One of the patterns I am making has 14 base strings and one leading string, which makes 15. Should I just tape the leading string on?

Just treat the leading string like any other new leading string with which you start a new row 🙂 it does not matter that it is the first rowSo yes, just tape it down |
