length of bracelet

Hello everyone, I wanted to start my first alpha bracelet with a certain pattern but I have no idea how long it's gonna get (it's 64 knots long at the moment but i could change it up a bit), I have relatively small wrists and can't really tell if it's gonna be too long or too short. Do you have any advice that could help?

A lot will depend on how tightly you knot and the size of thread you are using, but generally I try to make my bracelets about 6 inches for an adult, which for me, using embroidery floss, works out to about 80 rows on an alpha pattern. Hope that helps!

I think 64 rows will probably be around the right length, that's how big I usually make bracelets.If it seems too short when your done I usually make a couple extra rows on the end with the same colors of the bracelet or make the ties longer. Depending on the pattern if it's too long sometimes it will still look okay if you skip rows at the end but other patterns you can't really do that without messing it up. |
