Why is it not allowed to change one of the colors used in the original pattern to another that has already been used? I dont have that many colors of thread, so sometimes it's nice to make (for example) a 6 color pattern into one with 3 colors. Are there any sollutions? I hope i explained this well enough. thanks in advance🙂 |

All string colors need to be different for the number of colors in the pattern, otherwise you would just be making a different pattern. Hope this helps!

For normal pattern variations, you can merge colours, but you can't do so for alpha pattern variations. To add a normal pattern variation in which you merge colours, set the colours you want to merge to the same colour code and click safe, then go to interactive normal and click save there too. |

It doesn't technically work but what I do in those cases is that I keep the pattern in my "draft" or I screenshot it to keep it, as you cannot save it... hope it gives you an alternative !

@marie_k that's a very good idea(you can save it in your drafts, you just cannot submit it) |
