Do you have a really in-depth tutorial for segment knotting? I read the tutorial that was posted here on bracelet book and I'm still pretty confused by the concept of it. Thanks!

I may be interested in creating one if I have time. Did you have a specific pattern you wanted me to use in the tutorial?

Have you watched MashaKnots' video on segment knotting? The written tutorial on here is by me, so if you have any specific questions, you can always ask me. |

@SweetKnotz maybe #158339? I watched Masha Knot's tutorial and I was confused on what order you should segment knot certain sections.

You have a bit of freedom when it comes to which section to knot first. There is only two rule: 1) You have to have finished knotting all the sections on top of the section you want to knot that involve the same strings that you need in the section you want to knot. 2) You can't make knots that make it impossible to knot one of the sections you haven't done yet. You have read my tutorial. Again, I'm willing to answer any question that you might have after reading that tutorial. My recommendation is to take a screenshot of the pattern or print it. Then you draw the segments into the pattern. After that you can number the segments following the rule above. I'm so sorry that my tutorial is not useful :/ I wasn't very experienced when writing it, but I tried my best |

Oh, okay, I just thought it wasn't helpful because you weren't answering to my reply 🙂 but now I'm relievedThe pattern you want to segment-knot seems to be a very complex pattern. It can be segment-knotted, but it's not a very straight forward process. If you are unable to figure out how to segment-knot any normal pattern, you can always knot any normal pattern row-by-row instead. It takes a little more time, but it's easier to avoid making mistakes that way and some bracelets turn out smoother when knotting row-by-row instead of segment-knotting. I would say, it is a very beginner-friendly method for anyone who has not figured out how to segment-knot yet and still wants to be able to read a pattern. |

@sophcharrrI also think the pattern you have chosen is a little complex to start out with. A good example of a beginner pattern to try segment knotting on is #158352. You can see a clear triangular pattern, indicating it will be much easier to segment knot. Check out the pattern and let me know what you think! |
