Using other people’s alphabets for patterns

I was just wondering if there was any special rules for using someone’s alphabet pattern to use as the letters for a different pattern, like are you allowed to, do you have to get permission, or can you use the specific letters you need without permission as long as it’s not just letters and has pictures or something. I hope this makes sense, please ask for me to specify if not. Thanks!

It's best to ask the other person, if you can use their letters. Not everyone is alright with elements from their patterns to be used in someone else's patterns.You definitely have to add something unique and complex to the letters to make it acceptable, because otherwise it will count as a simple word pattern which is no longer acceptable. |
