How tight do you pull your threads?

I make alpha bracelets. I've made 4 things so far and three of them didn't end up satisfying. I pull the threads tighter, it goes bad. I pull it less tight, it goes bad in another way. Tell me your secret of tying bracelets >:0

For alphas it is recommended to tie them more loosely. But of course not too loose 🙂

I'm still practicing alphas myself, but I find if I tie the knots slightly looser than I tie my normals and then use a ruler to push the knots up each time I complete a few rows the bracelets turn out better.

Personally I do the first knot pretty lose then I do it a bit tighter to finish it but don’t pull too tight
