Every time I make a bracelet the start of it looks super messy, the part right after the knot to hold all the string together or the loop. How do I fix this? It's been bothering me for awhile and nothing I do seems to work so I'm hoping maybe you guys have some suggestions.

Ah yes, this can be a challenge. If you start out by making a triangle of sorts instead of all at once, it looks neater. there's a tutorial on here that explains it: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/98_how-to-make-triangle-ends/ and if you want a video, this one explains it pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHJq4fP-lR4

I have found this as well, so I try to use different starts and ends that best suit the pattern and size of bracelet I'm working with, like triangle ends, or half triangle ends, and the teardrop loop. There are some great videos on YouTube for each of these that I found pretty helpful.

Yeah that does happen a lot but most of the time it gets much better after a couple rows. This would happen and I thought I was doing bad so I would cut it off and start over losing a lot of string. But it will turn out great

You can’t avoid this if you start your bracelet in an overhand knot. Like a lot of other people said I recommend learning how to do shaped starts (triangle ends, half triangle ends, teardrop loop, etc). It will really help you out in the long run!
