Is there a way to change a regular pattern to an alpha?

It won't look identical, but in general anything that can be put on a normal pattern can be put on an alpha pattern as well, because the possibilities for alphas are unlimited. The reason it won't look identical is that the knotting structure is different. You could try to tie normals as a brick stitch alpha which looks slightly more similar and you should be able to follow any normal pattern as it is: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/148_brickstitch-alpha-tutorial/ Which pattern is it that you want to transform into an alpha? |

I just submitted a normal pattern version of the other pattern you mentioned, but I'll get to this one tomorrow. This one might be a bit more tricky than the other one. But I could for sure make a pattern of this logo that does not resemble the normal pattern exactly. Is there a reason you want to transfer normal patterns into alphas and don't try to start with designing alpha patterns from scratch? |

I’m just getting back into knotting and very new to this site. The second pattern was giving me problems and I thought it would be easier as an alpha because of all of the background color. Thank you.

This is the alpha version of the other pattern: #157065, but now I'm going to get to the one you actually wanted 🙂

And here is the other pattern: #157085I hope it's alright. You just wanted an alpha pattern of the logo, right? Not necessarily something that looks exactly like the normal pattern. I made some changes. |
