leading strings and base strings

i just need some confirmation. leading strings are like the backround color of the pattern and the base strings aren't seen at all. i don't know why i'm so confused about this. ๐

You've got it. ๐ base strings can also be used as a separate color that is used a bunch too. Like in #155888 (just an example) you could use yellow base strings instead of adding a whole other string and just knot on the leading string
