what string to use (and what makes a good/bad string????)

I really just need to find high quality string (preferably one that I can find on amazon, and if possible with a lot of colors) I'm using embroidery floss but its breaking and im thinking it might be string quality idk and idk what to look for- helppp please

Specifically DMC string works best! I got my string on amazon but really, as long as the strings are like 6-7 THREADS thick you should be good. You can get a multipack at walmart for pretty cheap if your up to it!

J’ai plus de rose DMC, mais j’en ai beaucoup de DFN.I have a question on the string types. Is it okay to use 2 types of strings to do one bracelet ? I want to do a watermelon pattern. I don’t have DMC pink strings any longer, but I have a lot of DFN ones. |

@Alicia0214 Personally, I use a variety of different string types and have had no issues. The only thing I would do is see if they produce the same knot size, and then you should be good to follow the pattern as usual. Hope this helps.
