How do prefer to store your threads? We (my daughter and I) are just starting out so we have the organizer with thread bobbins but I'm finding we go through so much that one single bobbin doesn't last long. Thoughts, ideas, recommendations all welcome ❤️

I think that that is a good way to store threads because they definitely won't get tangled. I don't buy my string already on bobbins, I just prefer a certain brand that comes in skeins. I put them on bobbins myself and i'll put the duplicate colors all on the same bobbin. I store the bobbins by color in a box, similar to a tackle box. Here is the string I like-- it is good quality and a reasonable price: https://www.amazon.com/Embroidery-Thread-Unicorn-Mermaid-Palettes/dp/B07YSTTF4T?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1 And then you can put them on bobbins yourself: https://www.amazon.com/MXRS-Plastic-Bobbins-Embroidery-Storage/dp/B07VCK2L9J/ref=sxin_16_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.4a292f39-c27c-4e62-9abd-d68116d07607%3Aamzn1.sym.4a292f39-c27c-4e62-9abd-d68116d07607&crid=2BKZ53XRZTCCO&cv_ct_cx=bobbins&keywords=bobbins&pd_rd_i=B07VCK2L9J&pd_rd_r=995f4798-0510-45ad-9971-1f2ee1698bb6&pd_rd_w=xBL1G&pd_rd_wg=rFS9O&pf_rd_p=4a292f39-c27c-4e62-9abd-d68116d07607&pf_rd_r=FAQG40GMFVKRWQ0RC0HA&qid=1691947778&s=home-garden&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=bobbins%2Cgarden%2C82&sr=1-1-2b34d040-5c83-4b7f-ba01-15975dfb8828-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9zZWFyY2hfdGhlbWF0aWM&psc=1 Hope this helps! |

i know some people, and i’ve started to do that myself, who store their skeins in boxes organized by colour (one box for blues for example)… this allows to easily organize the threads and make it simple but it can get easily messy… i like to keep most of mine on bobbins in a container made for that but with hundreds of threads the box method seems the easy route 😉

When I first started making bracelets (And I mean like FIRST started) I used popsicle sticks to wrap my string around because I had nowhere to put it and my string began to get tangled if I left it out. I do not recommend popsicle sticks if you are more experienced and plan to continue making bracelets - though if you are first starting and don't know if you are going to continue making string bracelets, they may be a better/cheaper choice than the plastic floss bobbins. For STORAGE I use simple craft organizers and take them wherever I go. I HIGHLY recommend organizing the plastic floss bobbins in color order. 😉
