So I’m trying to make an alpha for the first time and I’m very confused on how to switch colors. I watched Masha knots video but when switching to a new color then switching again on the next knot it doesn’t work right. Please help!

If you have just one knot of a different colour in between, the leading string of the outside colour basically goes through that knot.

I’m sorry but what you just said makes no sense. When I do the color that’s not the background color that knot works but it’s when I go back to the background color that the other color just covers that knot.

You make the first half of the knot, lay the old leading string over the base string and then make the second half of the knot, so that the old leading string is sandwiched in between the knot and the base string. Why does this cause issues when making only one knot of a colour and then switching back to another colour? It shouldn't cause any issues. It might sound stupid, but have you just tried knotting? Sometimes it's easier to imagine that the string will actually be hidden, if you've actually made the knot. |

I tried doing that but the white string just covers the blue instead of going in between on the knot after the white one ( I’m using pattern #15132 btw)

Omg I think I figured it out! I tried putting the string under rather than over and it looks right now.
