how do I prevent/fix string from fraying?

I don’t know if that’s the right word, but I mean come apart into smaller strands of string. It makes it hard to work with and makes mistakes much harder to fix

@avana87 I use embroidery floss in my bracelets, which is meant to split, but for me, it only frays at the bottom. What string are you using? It might help to measure longer strings so the fraying doesn't reach where you're knotting. Hope this helps!

If the string frays at the bottom, tie a tiny knot at the bottom to prevent fraying.

You could also try wrapping a tiny piece of tape around the bottom. It should work as long as you make sure all the sticky parts are covered. This might also help with the strings tangling together as you work with them (or it might make it worse idk)

This is a good question!
I personally twist the strand tight before making the knots (It usually only happen to me at the end like the 6 last rows)
... Sometimes I use a little saliva DON'T JUDGE ME PLZ (they are for me )
