how do we figure out whats will be the length of our alpha pattern once its made??

you should be able to tell by the dimensions, but it's recommended to measure out 2 meters (6.5 feet) of string (then folded in half) to be safe. Hope this helps!!

@cheesasaur your advice seems to be for normal patterns. You definitely do not need base strings that are this long in an alpha.To figure out how long an alpha will be, it is correct that you need to look at the dimensions or more specifically the amount of rows a pattern has. If you've made an alpha before, you can measure how long a certain amount of rows is and then use that to calculate how long this specific alpha will be. |
