I finished the ten line pattern of #17871 and the string order at the bottom does not match the top. I tried just using the pattern on the wrong strings but it didn’t work. What should I do?

Just repeat it. I have done a bracelet that was the same way and it’s the same knots. It will turn out just like it is supposed to.

I did the same knots for another 10 rows and this is how it looks incorrect

Should I just force the strings to the correct places?

No! This kind of pattern will work out. The knots all repeat, but using different strings, so the colors don't match up. Just do the same knots using the different string colors and you'll be fine.
If you have trouble following the pattern that way, I would create a new pattern in braceletbook, copy the pattern over, and repeat it until the string orders match. For this pattern, just copy and paste this into the "Knots:" section on the new pattern page four times:
f,f,b,b
f,f,b
f,f,b,b
fb,f,bf
b,b,f,f
b,b,f
b,b,f,f
bf,f,fb
f,f,b,b
f,f,b

You can also use "add variation" to look at how the pattern would look with the new string order (but don't actually add this variation)

I did a pattern with the same problem, that the strings change position at the end of the rows, #18. I don't know if it's going to work with your pattern, but for mine I found myself a tip. It's to forget the string colors and just concentrate on the shape to do with the same string.
