Finishing a bracelet by altering a tutorial

Hey folks! I'm back, haha. Somehow my buttons got misplaces so I only have a massive supply of stone/porcelain/ceramic beads instead. I want to follow this tutorial ( https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/32_ending-bracelets-with-a-button/ ) for finishing a bracelet off, but since it wont be that easy, I'm wondering if I can loop through the bead going the opposite way with two strands (one strand going through the left side of the bead, one strand going through the right side of the bead) and then make a square knot at the base then glue it to seal it. I would just try, if it works ๐ if both threads fit through the bead, it might work.
