I want to start making keychains, but I don’t know what your standard D ring keychain will hold. How many base strings do your keychains normally have?

It mostly depends on how big your D-rings are. mine are smaller than most, but i still make keychains that have like 10 strings. you can make bigger patterns, but sometimes theyre a little curvy because of the shape of the D-ring, it just depends. 😇

You can make bigger amounts of base strings fit by doing a shaped start:https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/130_shaped-keychain-tutorial/ The tutorial mentions 14 knots fitting comfortably on a keyring, but this might be different for you depending on the material you use and the size of your keyring. |
