I found a pattern I really like, https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/normal/151497/ , but I want to double up the string count so I can add one more color to it. Is that possible? I am a beginner (well, it has been MANY MANY years since I've done anything like this). My goal is to make two bracelets with this design, both with 4 colors, the 4th being a slight shade different from each other, for two of my closest friends. I've spent the past few days fumbling around with the search feature and this is the pattern I fell in love with, and will allow me to make a stitched loop for a button close. Any advice would be wonderful. ❤️ Thank you in advance! ~Ruby ❤️ |

You can change the string counts of patterns, but often you'll need to make some kind of adjustments to the pattern so it will still work.I think to get pattern #151497 to work with 4 colours instead of 3, you would need to adjust the pattern to use 8 strings instead of 6. If you want to do something like this, my recommendation is to play around with the pattern generator to see, if you get it to work: https://www.braceletbook.com/create/ I just did that. Here is the knotting structure, I came up with, if you want to copy and paste it into the generator to check it out: f,f,b,b f,f,b f,f,b,b fb,f,bf bf,fb,bf,fb fb,f,bf bf,bf,fb,fb fb,f,bf bf,fb,bf,fb fb,f,bf bf,bf,fb,fb fb,f,bf bf,f,b,fb f,f,b |

Thank youuu! Sorry I didn't reply right away, I stepped away from my computer for what I thought would be a brief moment and my hubby needed my help with something and it ended up being me unable to get back to my computer until now 🙈 🙈 🙈 I'm gonna go look into those now and see how those look. I'm so excited!
