I love making bracelets and the front normally turns out awesome, but the back looks gross. I’ve heard tying my knots lighter would help but when I try that it seems pointless. When I do easy patterns like daisy chain it turns out OK but anything harder looks bad. Please help! 🙂—Skyler11 |

I'm assuming you are referring to normal patterns, as far as I know, there isn't much you can do to keep the back neat. If you are making it into a bracelet the back shouldn't particularly matter since it will be down against your wrist. Adjusting your tension might help a little though.Clean back alpha technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCXIzmm0f3c |

Thanks! I was referring to normal patterns, sorry I didn’t make that clearer. Thanks for the feedback!

If you want the backside to be smoother, you could do upside-down knots instead. This way you see what would usually be the back while knotting. I'm not sure how it might affect the 'front'.It is normal that the back looks different from the front, because the backside of the knots looks different than the front. |
