Should I use one srting individually or make every string two strings together?

I used individual strings ( for example I had 5 colours so I used 5 individual strings for each string) and it turned out with empty spaces in between the knots. What did I do wrong?

When you make your knots, make sure to bring them all the way to the top, also might be worth a try to make your knots a little tighter. It is normal to for there to be small holes, they are more noticeable if you hold them up to a light.

Are you trying to knot a normal pattern or an alpha pattern?It is best to use one string per string in the pattern. If a pattern calls for 1 purple string, you'd use 1 purple string and not let's say 5 purple strings. It's easier to knot with individual strings. |

I am doing a normal pattern, I am trying again but making the knots tighter, it's looking much better
