Sometimes I notice, especially when I wear my bracelets often, that the string seems to get fuzzy and it no longer looks neat. The main 6 threads are still intact, it’s just that the string looks fuzzy and there are tiny threads coming out from the string itself. Does anyone know how I could prevent this or what I could do to stop it from happening? Even high quality strings seem to be a little fuzzy after a while, and it’s so annoying lol.

I keep my bracelets stored in an air tight container, but I get that wearing after a long time the threads tend to get messy! It's most likely the cotton pilling, though I don't exactly know! DMC stays for longer but the best strings to use if you want it to look brand new for a long time is wax string (only downside is that it is hard to work with and can only make pretty basic patterns easily) I hope this helps and would really like to know if there are more ways to preserve your cotton string creations!

This is the wrong section of the forum. This post wouldn't belong in 'newbies'. 'newbies' is meant for problems related to being new to braceletbook or to making bracelets. 'hints' might be a more fitting section, even though you are not looking for hints for tying bracelet, but for hints for bracelets in general.

There is only one thing I can add to the previous answer: avoid the bracelet from getting wet. Take it off when going to the pool or showering.
