Elongated patterns

How do I fix my issue whenever i make a alpha pattern, it always turns out elongated. I am a professional making patterns i have been making them for 3+ years but this has always been an issue for me. I see other photos that have wide and short patterns but when i make them, they turn out long and skinny.Thank you for reading this |

You can try to- double base strings or use thicker base strings - make your knots looser - push up each row with a ruler after knotting it All these things might help |
