length of string for a 14cm (5.5 inch) bookmark

The pattern I am using requires 16 strings, which is the most I have ever used, so I'm not sure how long to cut my string. I plan on making the bookmark about 14cm (or 5.5 inches) and using #133831.

No guarantee that this is correct butString 1 and 16: 45cm each String 2 and 15: 112cm each String 3 and 14: 61cm each String 4 and 13: 124cm String 5 and 12: 81cm each String 6 and 11: 109cm each String 7 and 10: 95cm each String 8 and 9: 108cm each This would be what I would use for a bracelet with no shaped start and ties of about 10cm on each side. If you plan to do a shaped start, you'll need more string of the strings making the edges of the shaped start. |
