Colors in the pattern

I'm not sure how to ask this so it will be clear what I want to know, but my (sorry if it's stupid) question is, how do yall choose colors for your projects so they can be exactly the same like in the pattern? I have problem with matching the colors when I want them to be the same as in it.

Sitting somewhere with good lighting helps quite a bit! Sometimes you have to compromise a little and know it's not going to be absolutely perfect. Many craft stores have a large variety of string colors, if you can't match close enough, it might be worth a look. 🙂I'm not sure if that answers your question or not.
