I like some tips on how to make my bracelets neater. I am currently making pattern #138803 and the moons are more like ovals and it’s just crooked and messy. My normal patterns look fine though.

I would recommend trying the straightedge alpha technique, there are a lot of YouTube tutorials on how to do it clearly and avoid clipping down with a binder clip it while it’s folded in half (like folding it in half and clipping it to a book) (this not relevant if you tape them down, just make sure your tapping it down straight).

In addition to the straight edges technique you can also try the flat alpha technique. MashaKnots'video on the flat alpha technique explains both.

I don't think it will necessarily help with the pattern being elongated, but it will make your bracelets look nicer.

To avoid your pattern being elongated, you can try using thicker basestrings or doubling your basestrings, pushing the rows up with a ruler after each row as well as knotting a little looser.

I am doing everything just not doubling the base strings. I learned how to make alphas with mashaknots’ flat alpha tutorial. But just with all the strings, it gets messy and confusing.
