I keep breaking strings whenever I’m tying my bracelets, do I need better string? Is there a way I can fix the bracelet cause I keep breaking them and don’t know what to do with them. :/

I would suggest that you try tugging a bit more slowly and gently on the strings. How thick is the string that you're using? If it's very thin, you might want to use a floss with a greater amount of threads. Hope this helps!!

@TheEffie, I am using generic friendship string from Walmart. My only problem is if I tie to softly then my bracelet is loose. Just can’t find the happy median.

You don't have to tie loosely, just keep the knots snug but gentle.

@audreyyyy same girl. My only advice is start over or make it a keychain. It’s so irritating and I get it. I’m low key over it but yknow part of the process. I saw your profile and the mushroom picture looks super good. Keep it up

When making the knots, make sure that the strings don't rub against each other for a long way. If for each knot the strings rub against each other, they'll take damage and eventually break. I can recommend this video "How to replace broken strings" by Alex's Innovations https://youtu.be/vJopcAcJqiA |

@ j_holbrook, I recommend using embroidery floss like DMC or Iris, and maybe loosen the tension when you're tying the knots. Best of luck!

@j_holbrook , the thing is that it breaks at the beginning so its too short to make it a keychain, also i have angry issues so when it happen i just cut of all the string to reused it 🤣

@audreyyyy if your string breaks, you can just put new string there and continue. Here is a video: https://youtu.be/vJopcAcJqiA

@j_holbrook maybe it’s the string. try embroidery thread instead of generic

Hey! This is an issue I have had for a while, all my strings would keep snapping at the most inoppurtune moments! What I’ve found is loosening up my knots and not pulling so hard works. It takes a while to find the right balance though

@halokiwi the thing is that it breaks right where the knot is, impossible do to something ive tried many solution, the only solution that im using rn (which i hope is going to work) is to do it loosen but its not as beautiful as when i pull hard, ive ordered other color of a different brand, i hope they are going to be better

@audreyyyy you can just undo a few knots and then you should be able to use that technique. You could also insert the new strings the same way you'd do the regular colour switch (not flat colour switch) in an alpha. |

@halokiwi ive never tried alpha and even if i wanna start i still dont fkg understand how to do them lol, but anyway im the kind of person who will just start over, i paid 3$ for 20 colors x2 so o dont really mind spending the money, its just for fun and for my anxiety that i do that 🙂 but i really appreciate your tips 😉
