hi!! i’ve been making alphas for awhile but mine are always stretched out like longer then the original design, i was wondering on how to fix that and if it has anything to do with knots and stuff. thanks!

Idk if I’m completely right but I think it has something to do with knot tension. When I was new mine did that to. Try loosening your knots and eventually you will find your perfect knot tension.

So I think that the best way to fix that would be to make your knots a tiny bit looser, specifically the first half of each knot because that will allow your knots to be further apart and therefore widen the pattern. As you experiment with that you’ll get the hang of it.

And another HUGE thing is to take a ruler and push your knots up the string. That will do two things, one it will make each row straighter so they don’t look curved as you get further into the pattern, and two it will make the pattern show up clearer and less stretched. You’re doing very good!!
