I find myself wasting a lot of yarn every time I make bracelets and I have a pretty small wrist, I just get scared that I won’t have enough string so does anyone have any tips or tricks to fix this problem?

With normals, do a "wingspan" of thread, meaning the amount of string from one hand to the other when your arms are stretched out all the way. With alphas, the base strings should be slightly longer than the bracelet will be. Hope this helps! |

I tried making a formula for myself for how much string I'll need. How much string you need depends on how many knots a string makes of it's own colour. For me the following formula works for a normal bracelet with 8-strings that is 14 cm long: String length in cm = percentage of rows in which a string makes a knot of its colour + 20 + 25 I'm not sure, if the amount of strings makes a difference. For a shorter or longer bracelet you need less or more string. 20 cm is the string length you need anyways for a 14 cm long bracelet, even if no knot is made on that string. 25cm is what's used for the ties. I need to do some more testing, if this works reliable. I know that at least one other mod has also figured out a formula. |

Thank you that’s really helpful! I also saw another formula that said multiply your fist length by five with probably varies if you are making a longer bracelet.
