Making a Loop, am I pulling too hard?

My loop doesn't look great at all. And I think it may be because of how tight I pull it. Should I be more gentle? Or just that it's nice and snug? I can send a picture using imgur if needed. Thank you

I'm not quite sure what is wrong with your loop, but usually, pulling hard on the leading strings is okay, as long as you make sure they're flush with the previous knot. I don't think when it comes to loops, there is a thing as a too tight knot, but I could be wrong...
