Are these done with the DMC embroidery floss?

Often times people use embroidery floss for knotting. Craft cord is also common.

You don't need to use embroidery floss by dmc. You can use other brands too 🙂 dmc is often not the most affordable.

@ircuz When doing alpha patterns I use those strings that come in rounds (I think people use them for micro crochet) for the base strings, they aren't visible in the pattern and there is usually a good amount of base strings. Iris is another brand of embroidery floss that I use, but DMC is everywhere and pretty affordable.
