I'm doing my first Alpha pattern but I've realized that I don't have enough of the color I was going to use as the base string. So I wanted to know if I'm able to use a different color for the base string.

You can use any colour you want for your base strings if you’re not using them to knot!

Personally I think base strings don’t need to match at all😄 it makes the bracelet more unique with base strings and the leading string being different colours 🌈
