I think you'd like it 🙂 Knotting friendship bracelets to me is very relaxing You like to crochet, so you like following patterns You like to draw, so you might like to design your own patterns I would say, just try it! |

First I was a pattern like #117 trying But that was hard so now I'm trying #4082I don't know what you call these two different types of patterns but they are totally different |

Pattern #117 is a normal pattern. Good normal patterns to start with are patterns #1 or #2. Pattern #4082 is an alpha pattern. This is definitely a good one to start with because it's small and only uses two colours. I think both normals and alphas are good to start with, but I'd recommend only focusing at one type in the beginning and not trying to learn both immediately 🙂 |

Where do you see how big an alpha is?

When you go to the pattern, above the pattern it will say "Dimensions" and under that is the size in terms of string count.

The dimensions of an alpha pattern tell you how many knots high and wide the pattern is. The lower number is the amount of base strings used. Patterns with less base strings are faster to knot and also sometimes easier, because you won't get confused by too many strings. The string count given for alpha patterns is always the amount of base strings plus one because one leading string is counted in addition to the base strings.

How to make the beginning and end of an alpha where you get a bracelet want to make from? And how do you tie that up? Sorry for all those questions 🙂 |

@louise_11 You could make ties on both ends and to close the bracelet, you just tie the ties together. You could also make a loop at the start and two ties at the end. Then you put one of the ties through the loop and make a knot with both ties to close it.

There’s also a video attached to each alpha pattern that shows you how to make it. I would maybe try watching that.

@louise_11 the ranks are beginner, advanced, skiller, professional and bracelet king. You can rank up by being actice on braceletbook. The more active you are and the more valuable your actions are the faster you'll rank up. The higher the rank is the longer it takes to rank up again. You already ranked up once, so keep doing what you are doing and eventually you'll rank up again. 🙂
