Neither. It’s just how many pixels there are.

The first number is how many knots in one row , the second number is how many rows there are 🙂

You can roughly calculate how long/wide your bracelet will be, from those dimensions. For example if you have one you made, and that one was of the dimensions 14x75, then you can measure its length and know how many centimeters 75 knots are with your string and your knot tightness. Then you divide what you measured by 75, so you know roughly how long one knot will be. Then you can multiply it with the length dimension of the bracelet you want to make. And then you can do the same for width (because for a lot of people, knots are longer than they're wide, so you can't just measure the length and use that to calculate the width). That way, after you made one piece, you can always say pretty accurately how big a new piece is going to be. That is especially useful with alpha bracelets, because a lot of them are just too long to go around a wrist, so you will know how much you need to leave out at the beginning and the end of the pattern. |
