overly long leading string!?!?

Starting my first alpha and I know that the leading string should be really long because it takes up most the bracelet, but I don’t know how to make my knots now because the strings to long. Any techniques? Please help 😭

I usually put it on a plastic bobbin when I knot! That way you can always unravel more when it comes short and you don’t have to work with a really long string! 🙂

Instead of moving the leading string around the base string, you can also move the base string around the leading string and then pull it tight in the correct way. It's a bit tricky in the beginning.You can also use shorter leading strings and then just do a colour switch to one of the same colour once the string is used up. |
