Identifying right color on patterns?

Hello,I am a complete newbie on this site so I apologize if this question has already been asked somewhere, I just haven't been able to find the answer. So, I've been looking at some of the patterns I want to try, but there are no color codes/number/names? Am I missing something or are we just supposed to find similar ones by ourselves? Please help a confused soul out... |

I'm not sure what you mean? Could you maybe clarify a little more?You cannot search the database based on colors. If you want to know what the hex color code is of an existing pattern or variation, you can make a variation of that pattern/variation be clicking 'add a variation' at the top of the screen (only on the site, not the app). This will open up a page where you can see exactly what colors are used. Just don't submit it with those same colors because it will be declined since it already exists. |

Sorry, I mean that I am trying to find yarn that corresponds to the color on the patterns, and was wondering if there are any color codes like DMC or if people usually just find ones that match by themselves 😊

I usually just find the most similar color in my string collection.
