if there is a color change on the edge of an alpha pattern, how do I change it without strings going off to the side and keeping it straight/flat?

on the last knot, i don’t put the string under the first knot, as the flat alpha technique, i just put it underneath altogether… idk if it makes sense !

if you’re using the straight edge technique, i put the leading string for the first row behind the bracelet and then careful make a regular knot fb/bf knot underneath for the second row

essentially, you’re using the regular alpha technique when making knots on the edges

Do you mean when you're making an alpha with a clean backside, and you don't want the string to poke out on the back of the bracelet? You just knot it in the forward/backward (or backward/forward) knot. Essentially, you line the leading string of the first color up with the out-most basestring, then bring out the leading string of the second color and knot on both the base string and the first leading string. |

* at once. You knot on both the base string and the first leading string at once. So just one knot on both strings, not two. Sorry, I worded that really badly...
