A teardrop loop is basically a loop that goes into a v-shaped start or into two triangle ends.Is it the loop part that looks off? Or is it the v-shape/triangle ends part that looks off? |

But the teardrop loop only works with chevron I believe

You can do teardrop loops with any pattern 🙂 because all normal patterns have the same structure. It might look nicest with a chevron pattern where the chevron follows the shape of the loop, but it's possible with any normal pattern.

honestly, it just takes practice. if it’s the V shape looking kinda weird, it might be that the consistency of your knots is different so it’s pulling in the “base” string weirdly
