I've just started doing an alpha pattern using the flat alpha technique for the first time. for some reason I can see the previous thread that was just crossed over and it just doesn't look right to me. Any tips/help?

don’t worry, this is totally normal and many people struggle with this. since i can’t see the bracelet, i’m going to try to give u what i hope are the most relevant tips. for one, when you have made the loop for the second half of a knot (on an alpha color switch) pull the leading string ur switching out tightly and then finish thing the knot. afterwards, i personally like to pull the out-of-use lead string again and then make sure my next knot with the new leading string is tight as well. i’ve found that this helps the most for me, but there’s no foolproof way to guarantee this won’t happen. happy knotting and enjoy your evening 💛
