I want to purchase bulk yarn for like backgrounds of alphas. I'm just not sure what size I should get. Like for the DMC pearl cotton thread, would a size 8 work fine?

Ignore that I sent that too early, anyways, the size of the thread shouldn’t matter as long as every strand of thread you use is the same size throughout the bracelet

@_haileyom_ depending if leading strings for the background colour or base strings are meant, it does matter.If you use a different type of string for the leading strings of the background colour than you use for the other leading strings, it might produce knots of a different size. For me dmc petra size 5 works well. I use it for the colours black and white because those are always used up the fastest for me. At least in normal patterns it combines well with the regular embroidery floss that I use. I don't really do a lot of alphas. |
