I recommend to continue started conversations instead of restarting them 🙂 this way it is easier to keep an overview of what you already know and how the conversation in general is going.Have you ever made a bracelet before? If yes, what kinds of bracelets have you made? Here is a written out tutorial for how to knot alphas https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/28_how-to-make-alpha-pattern-1737/ Sodapop's cow patterns usually have 12 base strings. Base strings are the strings onto which you knot in an alpha. They can be any colour you like. Their length should be the length of the bracelet plus some extra for making the ties. You can tell what the amount of base strings is by looking at the "dimensions" of the pattern. The lower number there is the amount of base strings. Sopop's cow patterns have between 5 and 14 colours. For each colour used in the pattern, you need one leading string. Leading strings are the strings you knot with row by row. You just insert the leading strings when you need them. You can tell the amount of colours because it is written down next to the paint roller symbol. Which colours you need, you can tell by which colours are used in the pattern. You start of by knotting with the leading string of the background colour row by row onto the base strings. When you need to make a knot of a different colour according to the pattern, you switch to a different leading string that you insert at the point where it is first used. |
