I always do a wingspands length for a normal that has symmetrical string colors when the pattern is cut in half, if the normal is not one of the symetrical patterns, I cut them 1/2 a wingspands length

I have found that depending on the pattern you might need different lengths for strings of the same pattern usually my rule of thumb is that if you see much more of one color than the others make that string longer. Hope this helps ❤️ 😊 😊 😄

It definitely depends on the pattern! I go for about half a wingspan per string, then double it and fold over to get two strings. If the pattern has more of one color, or one string makes significantly more knots, you'll need that strings to be much longer (about two or three times longer). The wider the bracelet, the longer the strings need to be.It will help if you know how much string you'll need in a "standard" bracelet, whatever that means to you, and then you can adjust your string lengths based on how the pattern you want differs from that standard. |
