id recommend alphas that are not too wide. roughly 10-15 strings possibly. and 3 colors. i honestly don’t recommend 2 colors because then you don’t get used to the 1-1-1 color switches that lead to more complex alphas

learning to make alphas is very rewarding - it gives you the ability tp create so many more patterns 🙂

from your to-do's, i think #38672 would be a great place to start as it is simple enough and you'll have a nice bracelet at the end of it. you could also do womthing with #4082 or #43965 as they don't involve many colour changes

when you're ready to expand your skills a little #78662 has a couple more colours and #10658 would make you practice colour changes on the edges

good luck!! ⭐

My second alpha was #130371 and I still think it should've been my first. It's small but has some few color changes, and it looks very cute. In short, it's very rewarding to do, teaches you everything you need to know, and is still pretty easy and doesn't take too much patience. 🙂
